Video: Zuckerberg Advises 8th Graders To Skip Shortcuts
The scene is Menlo Park's Belle Haven Community School. The principal introduces him as Zuckerman. The theme is not taking shortcuts and doing things you love and having fun (Mark Zuckerberg to 8th Graders via Gawker).
This speech very usefully reinforces the idea that disciplined work is generally necessary before one can expect to have any paradigm-changing creative ideas--an idea particularly useful for middle school students about to enter the ninth grade to bear in mind.
