People: Civil Rights Lawyer Leaving Administration For New Post

19essay-3-articleInline-v2 Over the weekend, Dianne Piche announced that she's leaving the Office of Civil Rights at the USDE and heading to the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, where she'll head the education policy team.  You can reach her there at [email protected]. "The Leadership Conference is a coalition charged by its diverse membership of more than 200 national organizations to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States. Through advocacy and outreach to targeted constituencies, The Leadership Conference works toward the goal of a more open and just society – an America as good as its ideals." Piche was for many years with Bill Taylor at the Citizens' Commission on Civil Rights.  Congrats, condolences.
