Duncan: A Three-State Week For Arne

It must be campaign season with all this criss-crossing (and the non-publicized campaign events that are part of the package):

Duncan's headed to North Dakota on Tuesday and Florida on Wednesday and Thursday and then -- hooray! -- up to Boston for a City Year event and a speech at Hah-vahd.

The Secretary will visit New Salem-Almont High School in New Salem, N.D., with U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy.  They will hold a Rural Education Roundtable discussion and a media availability after the classroom visits at the school, 310 Elm Ave., New Salem, N.D.

The Secretary will travel to Jacksonville, Fla., where he will visit the KIPP School and participate in a ribbon cutting with Rep. Corinne Brown,

The Secretary will participate in a forum with Randi Weingarten, president of the AFT and Dennis Van Roekel, president of the NEA, local union leaders, teachers and school district management to highlight the collaboration and progressive labor agreement with Hillsborough County Public Schools at Rampello Downtown Partnership School, 802 E. Washington St., Tampa, Fla.  

Friday, Oct. 15

The Secretary will travel to Boston where he will give remarks at City Year’s national headquarters at 287 Columbus Ave., Boston, Mass.

 

6 p.m.-6:40 p.m.; Secretary Duncan will speak at 6:20 p.m. EDT

The Secretary will give remarks at the Phillips Brooks House Association’s 2010 “Call of Service” Lecture and Annual Awards at the Memorial Church of Harvard University, Harvard Yard, 1563 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, Mass.
