I'm stunned. Duncan makes the team and I didn't?
When the Soccer Federation said that the lineup was detrmined by a "first come, first served" basis, I assumed they'd be playing everyone who showed up with the Expectation of success and a No Excuses mentality, and I'd be dragging my beer belly up and down the field.
What really hurt was the rejection e-mail, "We're not in favor of ringers. We're in favor of talented ringers."
I suspect they really want Duncan for his PR friendly aphorisms. But if Duncan doesn't turn our team around, that's the end of the Obama Administration.
