Support to teachers come in the form of systems, structures, and resources. Of these categories, teachers want to feel that they are being listend to and that their views will be taken seriously. School and central office leaders that hold information (info. = power) and will not let others work to obtain common goals for the school/district are doing a injustice. While there can be some truth to the saying "the further you get away from the classroom the less influence you have on student achievement", there is research that indicates that focused support from central office ans school personnel can make a difference.
