Quotes: Students Don't Want/Believe In Your Integration Schemes

Quotes2My students in the South Bronx do not want to take a bus to Staten Island. They do not want their school to become a magnet school, because they said, 'what about everyone else?' And they don't necessarily have an interest in changing the entire composition of their neighborhood for integration to happen. They don't believe in a lot of the models of integration that they've seen replicated around the United States.
