Painfully true of unions in general at least in my area, though I know some will say I’m painting unfair caricatures again. It’s not just teachers unions that act like this. My father works, to this day, for a branch of Teamsters that has become focused enough on maintaining a good relationship with his bosses that they’ve rendered themselves useless. Just the other day he opened the mail to find that they've decided to move all future union meetings even farther away, to a town on the opposite side of the state that instead of being 80 miles away is now over 120 miles away.
