Weekend Reading: Tornadoes And Hipsters
All the best articles from magazines and other sites I don't check during the week, for your reading pleasure:

The tornadoes this weekend were, quite frankly, bizarre. I live in Vermont. We don’t get them. Or at least we never used to, they were a very rare occurrence, but this was the fourth summer in a row where we've been under a tornado watch. Thankfully, our state seemed unscathed, but my thoughts go out to those in NYC who got hit twice.

And I still have no idea why schools keep selecting iPads over netbooks. It’s ridiculous, given the cost difference, ease of use, expensive repairs, and so on. Introducing technology is kind of a dubious prospect already, why are schools further disillusioning parents against them?
