I’d believe it. 2008 was one of my high school years, and that year, administration mandated the firing and rehiring for around 20% of faculty positions. And I know they’ve made more, similar cuts. Granted, I think they’ve been doing it to save trivial amounts of money, and in some ways, a fresh start isn’t necessarily the worst of things. That being said, there were good teachers that lost their jobs.
