Does anyone know if any legislation is in the works to address the real problem resulting in childhood obesity, and that is lunch duration? I know for a fact, growing up, kids visited the express fast-food lunch line because they get 20 minutes to eat, make it through a lunch line, and clean their table before they leave, and making it through the salad bar or hot lunch line easily used up 10 minutes.

Bleck, I really don’t think buying students tablets reasonably addresses the problem of technology, specifically a lack thereof, in education. First off, Apple is the leading distributor of tablets to schools, offering discounts as a form of advertising. Until repair costs hit. Even on their discount, schools could be paying a lot less. Then, of course, there’s the fact that tablets are simplified PCs. How much “learning” can really be done on one? Tablets have their place. But this isn’t it.
