For the record, Calculus is an easier subject to learn, at least at first, than trigonometry. That’s probably, sadly, half of its popularity in secondary schools today.

I’m not sure, however, that “forgetting what it’s like to be eight” should really be the deciding factor. Any repeals or discussions of repealing should instead be based that they base everything on test scores that really aren't a good tool for measurement.
