Save our Schools Convention... I hope it makes a difference. I just remember my mom struggling so hard, though she was just one woman, to get the school to ease certain restrictions they felt would improve the quality of education (i.e. ensuring most kindergarteners were a more "mature" age of 6), and she got nowhere. Teachers and even politicians told her to her face that they knew what was better for her children than she did. Sadly, it was facing that attitude time and time again that made her give up trying to fight.
