In Chicago - hiring additional teachers so that the teachers don't have to teach the extra hours kids will be in school each week. I see a couple issues here. First, IF there are unionized teachers in Chicago, I know from my father's job that the union is always anti bringing in part-time staffing to fill gaps. Second, is it really cost effective to spend money you don't have?
