Morning Video: Surprisingly Uplifting "None Of You Is Special" Speech
Nearly half a million views for this upload alone (there are several others). The tone of the 13-minute address is much less angry or negative than it might have seemed from previous coverage:
I'm not sure it's the most appropriate speech ever, but he's basically reminding them (and us) what the world is really like, that accomplishing exceptional things is much much harder and less common than some of us seem to think.


I think it’s entirely appropriate. That’s the kind of message that people don’t hear until they’re out of school, and it comes as a shock. It’s not like he was blatantly rude or violent in speech, he merely addressed students with honestly.
