Media: Pros & Cons Of TFA Debated On NPR
The question of TFA's effectiveness is back in the mainstream media, this time with a pair of NPR interviews pro and conL First, Michel Martin interviews TFA's Heather Harding (In Defense Of Teach For America). Next, she interviews TFA alumni Gary Rubinstein (Is Teach For America Failing?). Listen, or read the transcript. Let us know if you learned anything new or changed your mind about anything.

I think Harding means well, but incremental tweaking, I feel, has made TFA less effective than it used to be. The service is certainly wide-spread, but standards keep lowering, and one has to wonder, with a less-limited budget, if the core problems would really be addressed?
