Maybe it's just me, but I haven't noticed that graduated driving laws have much impact. I have known many friends who drink and drive regardless of the graduated laws here, the difference is they just haven't gotten caught. One boy from my former high school drove drunk without a license or a permit and his passenger died because of his actions. Nothing will stop stupidity. If they want students to really learn the dangers of drinking and driving, have them watch an autopsy or simply spend time with an alcoholic dying from cirrhosis. I watched an alcoholic relative dying and that's all it took for me to realize I would never touch a drop of alcohol.
