Regarding the teacher who ordered her students to hit a bully, I'm thrilled she lost her job. She can't possibly have thought that kind of behavior was okay... And the fact that she did, I'd never want her teaching any child again, and I shudder to think of how she would raise her own children.

As for immigration and Obama, I watched my male cousin, a straight-A student throughout elementary, middle, and high school, try to get scholarships and it was a joke. His parents are low middle income and most of the scholarships and grants out there are specifically for immigrants or those at poverty level. He ended up choosing a decent college with the lowest tuition he could find and of the $13,500 a year tuition, he ended up with a $2,500 scholarship and a $1,400 grant. The rest he has to fund through loans and a $1,200 work-study program. This alone has led him many times to questioning if college will truly be worth it.
