Reform: Chicago Mayor Appears In Anti-Union Video

Picture 9
In New York City, the appearance of the police chief in an anti-Muslim video has been all over the news the last few days.  In Chicago, it's the appearance of Mayor Emanuel in a pro-charter (possibly pro-voucher) video hosted by Fox's Juan Williams that has some people -- most notably the teachers' union --  upset.  Emanuel's support for charters is no surprise -- he still sometimes makes the claim that most of the city's top performers are charters even thought that does not appear to be the case.  The video was produced by the Education Action Group, which distributed an embarrassing video of teachers' union president Karen Lewis last year and declines to say who its funders are. In the aftermath, City Hall has attempted to clarify the Mayor's position.
