Books: Great Reviews For "The New Kids"

image from 2.bp.blogspot.comBrooke Hauser's just-released book The New Kids -- about a "newcomer" school for immigrant kids in New York City -- is getting great reviews all over the place, including GothamSchools, ParadeNPR, and the NYT.

Hauser talked about her experience reporting on education issues on this site back in 2008 (interview here).  She was also kind enough in her book to mention this site as one of her many sources of information.

Sidney Lumet's daughter Jenny is apparently no longer working on the  movie version of the original story, Strange Prom, which means it's time to get cracking, all you Hollywood types (those of you not already working on a movie version of mybook, I mean).
