Unfortunately 5 billion dollars is not what it used to be and I am of the opinion that the economy and those who shape our future are so out of touch that they just don't get it. The fact that it is encouraging that we see our two parties key spokespeople simply talking causes me great concern, because that is precisely why they were elected into office. The issues, important issues have given way to fifedoms, power grabs, and current control, as opposed to long term considerations. I just see our current politicians as fictional characters playing with Monopoly money and the only thing they are realy concerend about is when the music stops that they have a chair and plausable deniability.

We are in bad shape, and cuts to education and law enforcement are going to make things a whole lot worse in the long term. However, as long as we continue to fund the Egyptian Army, rebuilding of Haiti, subsidies to North Korea so they will not detonate nuclear missiles at us, we will continue our downward spiral and wake up one day all speaking Chinese.

Is it even possible to balance the budget? I do not believe I will see it in my lifetime and my kids and their kids will continue to have educational programs taken away becasue the lack of competance in the White House. It is a shame.
