Think Tanks: Obama Team Should Focus On Executive Authority

image from www.americanprogress.org The influential Center on American Progress thinks that the Obama team should forget the Hill and focus on things that can be done without Congressional approval, including a productivity initiative that would include a school-level achievement report and better reporting of stimulus funding uses.  Plus some higher education / student aid stuff.  Some good ideas in there, but none of this is going to be as much fun or grand as doing things the good old fashioned way.

Yes, democracy and democratic representation takes too much time. Much better to just Dictate from the executive branch what should be done. Pesky states, whining about their rights...
