Special Education: There Is No SPED Week

image from t3.gstatic.comAccording to everyone on Facebook, it's Special Education Week -- and has been for several months now. There's even a page for it.  According to the NYT's Lisa Belkin, who poked around and finally asked the USDE about it:  "An assistant in the Office of Special Education Programs told me he’d never heard of a Special Education Week, though he wouldn’t be surprised if there is “something like that.” He then put me on hold and went off to ask others."  Alas, no such thing.  Another FB rumor meme debunked.  Tell your friends (gently!).  Read all about it here:  National Cause of the Moment
