Think Tanks: Another Flip-Flop From Fordham Over Youth Violence?

Do we praise the folks at Fordham for at least occasionally seeming to consider new information and revising their positions, or do we lambaste them for opportunistic changes of position that seem calculated to win attention rather than respect?  This post from late last week had me wondering:  A return to the Broader, Bolder debate.  As you may recall, Fordham's Mike Petrilli famously flipped on NCLB a few years ago.  Checker has been for -- and against -- national standards several times over the past decade.

Fordham (specifically Petrilli, Checker and Common Core) is just an opportunistic group -- they latch onto whatever issue is big in the media or ed policy world. they dont care, Petrilli <3 NCLB, now not so much...it's a joke...they're whole group is foundationless
