I haven't read Bob Somersby's The Daily Howler in a long long time, but Somersby has the story of how the Times blew its reporting on college costs earlier this week -- it's since posted a correction -- and how the folks who wrote the report might have helped. That 439 percent figure is the problem, as you'll see.
