The American Prospect Does Early Childhood Education

1207_issuecoverThere's a slew of articles in the latest American Prospect on early childhood education, including pretty much everything you could want to know on the topic from a progressive point of view.

The most interesting looking articles include one comparing research on early childhood to global climate warming (Changing the Climate on Early Childhood, a Sara Mead piece on linking ECE to K-3 (Continuing the Investment), and -- my favorite -- an analysis of the politics of ECE ("Kids First" Politics, Round Two).

It's subscription-only, but I'm trying to cadge a look.  You should, too.
