International Ray Simon Week
Officially, it's International Education Week. But as this official schedule shows (see below), it's really Ray Simon week. The deputy secretary must've drawn the short straw to get roped into all these events. Or maybe Spellings does that "heads, I win -- tails you lose" thing.
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OFFICIALS TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK WITH STUDENTS AND EDUCATION PARTNERS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE
U.S. Department of Education Deputy Secretary Raymond Simon will join students and education experts from around the world to celebrate the eighth annual International Education Week, from November 13-15. Deputy Secretary Simon and other senior Department leaders will participate in events throughout the week to highlight the importance of fostering international partnerships and exchanges in education.
