Power Couples In Education -- Are There Any?
But are there any power couples in education? Not that I know of. I met Heather Podesta at an education event in DC earlier this year, married to Tony Podesta, brother of John. They're on the WMonthly list. Any others?
UPDATE: Readers share their nominations below. Got any to add?

I'd nominate Rodney and Maria Ferguson. You know Rodney -- Maria is exec dir of National School Boards Foundation.
How about Gary Orfield and his wife, Patricia Gandara?
Also, (though they'd never call themselves this) Bruce and Barbara Hunter -- he's a top guy w/ AASA, she does PR for NSBA.

There's Marcella Dianda, senior policy analyst for the NEA, and her husband E. Joseph Schneider, who is managing partner for Leadership DevelopÂment Resources, an educational consulting comÂpany in Arlington, and who used to be the deputy executive director of the American Association of School Administrators.

One couple might be Lynne and Doug Fuchs at Vanderbilt. Here is a link that descibes them.
